Here’s what you need to know to sponsor a needy child in rural village in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda or Burundi with Go Volunteer Africa Foundation. Our goal is to empower rural communities and reduction of poverty through a combination of education, nutrition, healthcare and income generating activities.
A donation of USD$540 to Sponsor a Needy Child will cover tuition, uniform, shoes, school supplies, and a meal during school, and medical visits (as needed) for one year. We would prefer the payment in a lump sum. However, if you can only pay monthly, let us know so we can work out the details.
Privately on request we share with you pictures and profiles of the children who need support, and we will tell you specifics about the child (name, sex, age, and guardian names, favorite sport, how many brothers/sisters, what they want to be when they grow up, favorite color, favorite food, and favorite animal and this info will be listed in the caption of each photo.
Our local teams are always available in the villages where we support the children, so in case you want to communicate with your sponsored child, it will always be easy. At the moment, we do not have a 501(3) c to make your donations tax deductible at this time.
