Uganda – The Pearl of Africa!

Famously called the Pearl of Africa by Winston Churchill, it is home to one of the most diverse and concentrated ranges of African fauna including the highly endangered mountain gorilla and the endangered common chimpanzee. Uganda is known as a whole year round travel destination to any tourist planning to travel. This is due to its climate and location to the equator.

Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa whose diverse landscape encompasses the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains and immense Lake Victoria. Its abundant wildlife includes chimpanzees as well as rare birds. Remote Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a renowned mountain gorilla sanctuary. Murchison Falls National Park in the northwest is known for its 43m-tall waterfall and wildlife such as hippos.

Uganda is an adventure capital of its own. There is something for everyone from mountain walks to wild game rides! At night Uganda really lights up with a vibrant nightlife second to none. It boasts a huge variety of venues ranging from trendy clubs to pubs and bars full of atmosphere and everything in between. As a visitor to Uganda, you can go almost anywhere in Uganda and experience the ultimate combo of nature, wildlife, culture, adventure, heritage and vibe – you’re spoilt for choice, so pack it in!

With a tapestry of landscapes, excellent wildlife watching and welcoming locals, Uganda packs a lot into one small country. It’s home to Africa’s tallest mountain range (the Rwenzoris), the source of the Nile, the world’s longest river and the continent’s largest lake. Rafting the Nile offers a world-class adrenaline adventure, but the country’s most iconic experience is tracking mountain gorillas in their misty habitat. And if you view the Big Five, you’ll see that nature – diverse and resplendent – looms large here.

Many travel to Uganda to catch sight of the mystical, mountain gorillas living in the dense forests. Uganda’s attractions don’t stop there. The hippo-filled rivers, abundant birdlife, serene lakes and villages filled with enthusiastic locals consistently capture the attention, imagination and hearts of travelers worldwide.

Uganda is undoubtedly one of best destinations to visit if you are really passionate about adventure travel. Uganda will be a life changing experience, no matter if you are coming as a business traveler, short term volunteer, or going on a Safari.

One of Uganda’s greatest charms is its wonderfully friendly people. Uganda has many diverse ethnic groups of people, some live semi-nomadic lifestyles, moving with the seasons to find food such as game animals and plants, as well as water.
