TANZANIA: Youth Support Volunteer Work

Tanzania Youth Volunteer Work
Tanzania Youth Volunteer Work

Join our Tanzania Youth volunteer work and help motivate young people through education and skills development. By equipping Tanzanian youth with the skills and confidence to make good decisions, we’re preparing them and Tanzania for a brighter future.

The current education system has not been working in their favor with many students lacking a basic level of education. This is due to poor resources and limited access to trained teachers, among others. You’ll assist with various activities that empower the youth including English lessons and debate sessions to improve their confidence.

This youth empowerment volunteer program in Tanzania helps vulnerable youth gain skills to find decent work in Tanzania’s modern economy. Go Volunteer Africa expose youth to integrated life skills, entrepreneurship, and occupational health and safety information. Youth also receive career guidance and take study tours to local entrepreneurs and agribusinesses.

A number of projects are established including but not limited to: youth leadership training, Sports Program and Music, dance and drama, youth arts and crafts projects, income generating ventures, Micro-finance projects and so many other projects meant to empower the youth in Africa.

As a youth empowerment volunteer in Tanzania you may help in many ways, experience traditional Tanzanian life and participate in daily activities such as: youth micro-finance project, games and sports coaching, health awareness workshops, mentoring workshops, business mentoring, computer training, vocational skills and so many other activities.

The program is a unique volunteer opportunity to observe the process of how Tanzania youth are working on improving their livelihoods. In addition, volunteers can also participate in teaching at a local school, construction, assisting in the setting up vegetable gardens, youth health talks and so many other activities.

All of our projects need volunteers who can bring new ideas, work with minimal supervision, and have a positive, self-starting attitude. The organization does not need just young volunteers, but older people with business skills and experience. They need those who can sort out bookwork and apply for grants.

We help the youth to establish savings groups to build their financial literacy skills and practice saving.
