You can also participate in Music, Dance & Drama projects or Games, Sports and Recreation projects in our volunteer in Uganda Program. The MDD, Sports & Recreation Program collaborates with local communities to promote healthy lifestyles amongst local children/youth through teaching basic skills and tactics of football (soccer) and volleyball, teaching music, dance moves and drama.

You can also make a difference by volunteering as a teacher in Uganda. The Education Program focuses on English language classes, international cultural exchanges and educational murals.  These initiatives are aimed at a wide range of audiences, from school children to local villagers. The murals our volunteers paint are directed towards local schools to help raise awareness on key issues such as personal hygiene, recycling and environmental preservation.

Volunteers who indicate their desire to work in construction enjoy a wide variety of projects to choose from every week.  This is the most flexible branch of Go Volunteer Africa operations in Uganda, as volunteers may choose to work on different projects every week or, alternatively, work on various stages of one project through to completion (assuming they are able to stay throughout the duration of the project).

Project descriptions and information are supplied directly by our partners or field staff and are accurate at time of publishing.

We aim to keep information up to date and accurate, however, the nature of our projects and programs and in particular the fact that they are constantly evolving and developing in response to changing needs means that project activities, travel schedules, tour itineraries and daily timetables can change overnight and without notice.
