Description

Action to Save Children and Their Rights (ASCAR), a Ugandan non-profit started in 2010 to providing assistance to children and people in need through various community development approaches.

Action to Save Children and Their Rights exists to alleviateĀ of the vulnerability of children and youth in Uganda through promoting their active participation and building relationships with them, in collaboration with their parents, guardians, local authorities, communities, central government, relevant NGOs and the general public.

In collaboration with Go Volunteer Africa, Action to Save Children and Their Rights offers meaningful volunteer in Uganda opportunities for individual and group volunteer travelers.

Whether you are interested in teaching children at school and out of school, childcare at local children’s home/centre, healthcare, or just getting involved with youth empowerment programs and community outreaches, Go Volunteer Africa has volunteer work at Action to Save Children and Their Rights that is suitable for you.

Action to Save Children and Their Rights Activities:

  • Supports disadvantaged children/youth to access quality health and have formal education, or vocational skills.
  • Creates opportunities for women through various economic empowerment programs.
  • Advocate at the local and national levels for the recognition, protection and promotion of child rights.

Action to Save Children and Their Rights has a vision of were every child enjoys their full rights regardless of their social status and background.
