DATES: Every 1st & 15th of the month

This volunteer travel adventure begins in Nairobi where volunteer travelers are to arrive before the start date of the trip. Nairobi is a cosmopolitan, cultural hub and the beating heart of East Africa. Yet most people who travel to Kenya merely pass through the capital on their way to Masai Mara safaris or Mombasa-style beach resorts.

Nairobi is where participants will be spending most of the time. The people of this great city are some of the friendliest in the world. Participants stay with a local family and eat home cooked meals while experiencing local everyday life. This is a total culture experience and it gives an opportunity to share in local customs while giving back to the local host community.

Volunteer travelers will make a dramatic difference in lives of local people by getting involved in our community development project available at the time of your travel. Depending on the time and season of your travel, project work will range from Orphanage, Construction, Environment Conservation, Youth work, Women empowerment, and Sustainable livelihoods, Sports and Music and so many other projects.

Local teams will be working alongside the participants. Throughout this entire 15 days volunteer trip, the goal is to make a positive impact on the people you come across all while getting off the grid and experiencing local culture.

The favorite part of this experience is being spontaneous and loving all the unplanned surprises you will constantly come across during out travels.

Nairobi is Kenya’s capital, and a remarkable place to visit and explore the delights of Kenya. Safaris and cities don’t tend to go together, but they do in Nairobi. In fact, it can boast being the only city in the world with a wildlife-filled national park within its confines.

Participants will go on a half day Nairobi National park game drive tour to get an insight on why Kenya is “The Mecca of the Great Wildebeest Migration in Africa”.

Nairobi national park game drive safari is a trip to some of the big five animals in this park which include the lions, rhino, buffalo, leopard, giraffes, hippos, zebra, gazelles, hartebeest, wildebeest, hyena, baboons, elands and many others.

The museum precinct includes not only the actual museum, but an art gallery, botanical gardens, Snake Park and shopping/eating facilities.

You will visit the Masai Market – The Maasai culture is perhaps the most renowned of Kenya’s ethnicity. The market is a bustling, colorful, loud and busy experience and is the place to go for truly African pieces to take home for yourself, or as gifts, you will find everything from local paintings, curios, drawings, wood carvings, jewelry and East African based Fabrics.
